Interior Review of the 2025 Ford Explorer

In the 2025 Ford Explorer, the instrument panel measures 12.3 inches, and the touchscreen measures 13.2 inches. It uses Google Maps and Ford's new Digital Experience system, powered by Android, for easy navigation. The Explorer has Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, as well as Google Assistant for voice commands. Upper trims offer 10- or 14-speaker B&O® sound systems, while the Active trim has six speakers.

There is plenty of space inside the Explorer. For a comfortable ride, the front seats offer ample legroom and headroom. There are 39 inches of legroom in the second row and 32.2 inches in the third row. You can select synthetic leather seats and a heated steering wheel with the Active Comfort package.

The third-row storage space measures 16.3 cubic feet. You can also swap the wireless phone charger tray under the touchscreen. You get 85.8 cubic feet when you fold the second and third rows together.

Power and Performance of the 2025 Ford Explorer

There are two engine options available for the 2025 Ford Explorer. Standard power ratings are 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque from the 2.3-liter EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine. Also available is a 3.0-liter EcoBoost® engine with 400 horsepower. A smooth 10-speed automatic transmission drives both engines.

You get a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds with the new Explorer's Class III Trailer Tow Package. Drive modes include Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, and Trail using the Terrain Management System.

Any trim can be equipped with all-wheel drive if you want more control and traction. For rougher terrain, Intelligent 4WD with low range is also available.
