There is also the power-packed 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. It transmits power to the wheels through a 10-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. The available performance exhaust boosts power output to 486 horsepower and torque to 418 pound-feet.

The track-ready Mustang Dark Horse is powered by a modified 5.0-liter Coyote™ V8 engine cranking 500 horsepower. It is mated with a TREMEC® 6-speed manual transmission with Rev matching. This engine can also be matched with the optional class-first drift brake, which is a part of the Performance Pack.
